MUW Student Brandy Feltman Elected to SGA Office

Brandy Feltman, a resident of Fayette, Ala., was elected to the Student Government Association at Mississippi University for Women this fall. Feltman will serve as senator at large for the 2011-2012 school year.

A candidate must be enrolled in 12 hours or more of academic credit at the time of the election and must have a minimum QPA of 2.50

SGA serves as the official voice between the student body of Mississippi University for Women and the administration of the University, and also as a mediator between local, state and federal governments.

Founded in 1884 as the first public college for women in the United States, MUW is a tradition-rich university that has educated men for more than 20 years. The quality of MUW's academic programs is outstanding.

U.S. News & World Report's 2012 guide, "America's Best Colleges," placed MUW in the top tier of Best Regional Universities and as the highest ranked public school from Mississippi in the Southern category. MUW also was ranked sixth in the country among public master's universities by Washington Monthly.
